My new year’s rule is always no resolutions… that’s just setting myself up for disappointment. Goals are something to aspire to and make you feel really great when you reach them by the end of the year, but not completely disappointed in yourself when you haven’t. Hopefully posting these goals for the world to see will make them feel a bit more concrete (maybe I’ll feel accountable).
1. Learn to bake bread (already got a book- Tartine, a very beautiful book).
2. Learn to quilt (already got the fabric from my local fabric shop Sew Modern).
3. Begin to learn Italian (for when I move to Florence…. one of these days).
4. Get my butt into shape (already have the gym membership – now I just need to use it, Gym Box– Pow! Pow!).
5. Publish an e-book or a book book (there are some ideas in the works).
6. Get organized (not made any progress in that yet).
7. Learn how to plan things ahead, manage my time and not procrastinate (this should be no.1).
8. Eat healthier and more vegetables (working on getting a CSA box).
9. Eat out only 1-2 times a week.
10. Plan a vacation to Europe & New York.
11. Self publish between 8-10 patterns with about 5-6 garments.
12. Finish all UFOs older than 3 years.
13. Knit another blanket (maybe TDS).
14. Make my own pair of pajamas (already got the fabric, Anne Kuo Lukito said she would show me how- woohoo!)
Of course as I reach these goals throughout the year you will most definitely read about them here. Make sure you subscribe to stay up to date.
And don’t think I forgot, I promised another give-a-way soon and I intend to keep my promises. There will be another give-a-way sometime before the end of the month, but I’m not saying any more!
Happy New Year!!!!
