For the past month or so we have been discussing starting an Olana KAL in my Ravelry Group! We have decided to get this KAL started in mid-February.  It seems like mid-February has crept up on us and its almost here.  Now it’s time to get started on choosing some yarns.  Join us and make either the Olana Shawl or the Olana Slouch… or both!  I personally have decided to just to the Slouch, although I made decide to do the shawl again later on.  Wont you knit along with us?  I’ll be available for Q&A on the group as well as email, and here of course!

I have been thinking long and hard about which yarn to use for this KAL…. I think I might use Koigu, but I might change my mind at the last minute.  Which pattern will you make and which yarn are you thinking of using?

And of course let us not forget a special congratulations to Facebook follower Robin Elaine Andrade, winner of the 12 skeins of Noro Kureyon and the Knit Noro book.  Please make sure to claim your prize via email by Saturday, February 16th, 2013.  Make sure you send over an email with your mailing address and I will get your prize out to you ASAP!

P.S. There is another really awesome giveaway coming up in the next couple of months, so make sue you stay in the loop and keep reading!

  1. My sister bought your pattern for the Robin Hood hat, and I cannot understand the directions. It is incredibly difficult to join 5 stitches into a round, and it is mathematically impossible to get the correct number of stitches on the increase rounds. Can you help? My sister bought the yarn for the hat as well, and I really want to make it for her, but it isn’t working.

  2. Where in the pattern are you having problems? Please email

  3. Thank you! What a great way to start the week!
