HAPPY NEW YEAR! I am very happy to announce the new winter KAL and the first KAL of 2015.  Crashing Waves is a triangular shawl with a simple garter tab construction that can easily be modified using this simple blog post to modify the pattern to any yarn, any gauge, and any needle size you like.

One lucky KAL participant will receive a pretty neat yarn and pattern prize combination (more details on the exact pattern and yarn coming soon – it will be good)! And two lucky winners will receive a pattern bundle prize.

To qualify to win the prize you must start and finish your Crashing Waves shawl during the KAL dates. In order to qualify to win, participant must post a finished picture of his/her project completed in this thread on or before the KAL end date.

Please feel free to swatch and share your yarns before the KAL kicks off tomorrow, Saturday, January 10th. Make sure you read up on the blog post to find out how you can modify this pattern from everything to gauge and yarn choice to striping your shawl.  This pattern makes a perfect stash buster!
