A few weeks ago I was in Denver at the Craftsy HQ filming my class.  I had the most amazing time in Denver and absolutely THE BEST CREW!  They were fantastic!!!

The class we filmed acouple weeks ago was all about how to knit faster using my personal speed knitting techniques – I can’t wait to share them with you in the class!

In the meantime Craftsy will choose one person to win this class – click here to enter to win!!!

The class should be released sometime in the next month or so – keep an eye out for that so that you can be the first one to learn how to knit this fast (as you can see in the photo, its very fast).  But here’s a video just in case you don’t believe me! Enjoy!

What better time to release a new pattern than at the beginning of a new year! The Constantinople Shawl is an asymmetrical shawl worked from one point and gradually increasing.  The shawl is worked primarily in st.st. which allows for plenty of Netflix binge watching. Just before you begin to get bored with the st.st. the shawl switches gears and incorporates an interesting lace section.  Complete with a pointed lace and eyelet border this is the perfect shawl for knitters of almost any level.

We are kicking off a KAL for this pattern on Friday, February 5th, 2016. Click here for all the fun and details! We hope you’ll join us!

If you’re an avid knitter or crocheter like I am, you might have heard of the 101 One Skein Wonders series, published by Storey. This series of books is composed of an excellent selection of projects, each calling for only one skein of yarn. If you are like me (and by that I mean an impulsive yarn buyer) then you have a lot of one-skeiners in your stash. If thats the case, then these books are perfect for you – and, you happen to be in luck – a new book in the series is coming soon, 101 One Skein Wonders for Babies.

Normally I wouldn’t be so exited about a baby pattern book coming out… although the patterns are usually so cute you could just die.  As many of you may know, most of my patterns are for adult women who are looking for a flattering, functional, and fashionable pattern to knit up – but not this time.  See those little pink booties on the bottom left? That’s right, they were designed by yours truly! Here’s a closer look:

How cute is she?!

Do these look familiar?  They should – this pattern is actually a re-release.  If you’ve been following me for sometime now, you might actually recognize this pattern as my Little Ballerina pattern. Knit with waaaaay under one skein this sweet Little Ballerina Booties are a must have in every little girl’s wardrobe and a super duper quick knit.

I haven’t received a copy of this book yet, but I can’t wait until it arrives in the mail! The 101 One Skein Wonder series never disappoint and I expect this one to be as good as all the rest.  I hope you’ll enjoy this book with all the sweet little knitting & crochet patterns!
