Well, I finally finished my Olana Slouch! Yay! We had started up a KAL for the Olana Slouch and the Olana Shawl about a month ago in my Ravelry group. I started off with the slouch first and when I finished that I did the shawl. Proof of the finished shawl coming soon!
I used Koigu KPM for all three colors. I love this thing. I finished knitting it about three weeks ago but I finally got around to sewing the buttons. For someone who loves buttons so much I sure do hate sewing them on…. not sure why…
Anyway – I finally wore it for the first time on Saturday. Its been unusually cold and gloomy here (love it, don’t jinx it). Perfect hat weather! Now that I think of it I wish I had a picture of me wearing it :-/ I’ll try to get a picture on of these days. On another note, my mother, who has always had a strong dislike for knitting and has never found the patience for it, decided that she wanted to knit the Olana Shawl. She’s making progress 🙂 and very happy about it.
Its not too late to join us! We would love to have you in the KAL. Knit one or both and have fun. I might be knitting up another slouch to match the shawl… I have some yarn leftover, but I’m scared it might not be enough…. We’ll see.
Don’t forget about the Hydra Giveaway! One very lucky Facebook follower will win the yarn and PDF for this pattern! Make sure you check the blog on Sunday to see if you are the lucky winner!
