Octopus’s Garden

August 12, 2013

There is a new pattern among us! Please welcome the Octopus’s Garden Shawl to the knitting world.  This pattern was designed as a Msytery KAL for A Good Yarn in Sarasota, Fl.  Using only one hank of Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light (in the color Midnight Pass, available exclusively through A Good Yarn), this shawl is fun and unique knit.  What makes it so interesting? Well, the construction is definitely unusual and so is the shape.  I have been told that this is a pattern where you definitely have to pay attention – sorry! Brain cells are required for this one.  I combined lace, short rows, new stitches, pick ups, and ruffles… what more could a knitter ask for?! The pattern is available through Ravelry as a PDF download as well as a hard copy exclusively through A Good Yarn through September 12th.  Enjoy!!!
